As a Finance Insights Analyst, you will be instrumental in supporting the Finance Analytics Manager in requirement gathering, managing data product delivery and providing actionable financial insights. Your role involves engaging in financial data analysis, contributing to the development and maintenance of analytics tools, and assisting in the creation of financial reports.
How you’ll do it
* Assist in the analysis of financial data, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the information provided for decision-making.
* Translate the needs of the business into actionable data driven reports through accurate and insightful requirement gathering.
* Support the development and maintenance of financial analytics tools, contributing to the improvement of data product delivery.
* Help in creating and updating financial reports, presentations, and dashboards using tools like Dynamics 365 F&O and Power BI.
* Engage in the continuous evaluation of financial data and analytics processes, identifying areas for improvement.
* Participate in cross-functional projects, providing financial analysis and insights to various teams within the organisation.
* Deliver continuous performance improvements across the function.
* Maintain accurate data, managing large complex data sets on Excel and in-house systems.
Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
In addition, you will need the following:
* A relevant degree in a Finance or Data Analytics related field, ideally working towards a CCAB recognised accounting qualification with supporting CPD.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work accurately with large datasets.
* Experience in financial data analysis and reporting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audience engagement; work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels across all areas of the business.
* Proficiency in Excel, data analytics tools and Power BI; knowledge of D365 preferred.
* Uphold ethical principles including integrity, objectivity, professional competence, confidentiality, and professional behaviour.
