HR Assistant / HR Administration Assistant - Temporary Maternity Cover - 6 Months
Hours - 30 - 37 per week (4 or 5 days per week depending on preference)
Are you an organised and people-focused person looking to either broaden your HR experience or an experienced administrator looking for HR experience within a supportive and rewarding team? Children’s Hospice South West is seeking cover for maternity leave. This post will work at Little Bridge House providing Human Resources (HR) support to our Care, Fundraising, and Retail teams.
Depending on experience, we are able to offer this post as an HR Assistant or an HR Administration Assistant. Please see the attached separate job descriptions.
This diverse role provides the full range of HR office administration, recruitment, induction, and training for new employees and volunteers. In the HR Assistant role, you will also provide first-line HR support to our Managers and Staff and support our volunteers and opportunities to assist in HR casework (note-taking), training events, and assessment days.
About You
You will have strong communication and organisational skills and experience working in a busy multi-tasking administrative role where attention to detail and meeting deadlines was a key part of the role. For the HR Assistant post, a working background in an HR/Recruitment environment is essential, and a CIPD qualification would be advantageous. For both posts, strong IT skills are essential, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience of using databases and editing websites would also be advantageous.
Location
This post is based at Little Bridge House (near Barnstaple North Devon), with some home working by arrangement.
