An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered general nurse to join the community nursing team in Dundee. The post holder will be provided with support to complete the Pg/Dip as part of the MSc in Advancing District Nursing part time over two years through Robert Gordon and will be responsible for a delegated caseload for the duration of their training. On completion of training you will be expected to take on the role of Band 6 District Nurse for a minimum of 2 years. During training you will be based within a District Nursing team in Dundee although a requirement of the post holder will be is a willingness to travel across the locality when required to meet the needs of the service. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of service which will involve rotation of shifts/base to ensure provision of service over the 24-hour period over 7 days. The post-holder should have excellent leadership skills, including managing workload and a skill-mix team of staff. You will be responsible for assessment and delivery of high quality effective, efficient care. You will be expected to have a wide range of clinical knowledge and skills with evidence of continuous professional development, a commitment to study and good interpersonal and communication skills. You will work in close partnership with colleagues across Dundee to achieve the objectives of the Dundee Health & Social Care Partnership Strategic Plan, ensuring an integrated approach to the delivery of compassionate care. Being an open, honest, approachable and responsible individual with an attitude to support excellent team working will be essential as will understanding how to develop, grow and nurture strong interpersonal relationships. These will be critical values and qualities which will develop and drive high performance to ensure the delivery of the best care experience possible.
