Rainforest Foundation UK strives for a fairer and more sustainable world by working with Indigenous Peoples and other communities of the world’s rainforests. We’re seeking two Project Coordinators to join our growing team working at the forefront of the fight against tropical deforestation, climate change and social injustice. Hardworking and committed, you will work closely with local partner organisations in the Democratic Republic of Congo to expand community land rights, sustainable livelihoods and forest protection initiatives. Person specifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management within charity or international development settings. You should demonstrate a strong understanding of forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa, and exhibit leadership in project management. Proficiency in both English and French is essential, alongside experience in financial management and a personal commitment to defending human rights. Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work under pressure in complex environments, including up to 12 weeks of travel per year to remote forest areas.
