Job Summary
This role will be part of the Infrastructure Team. The Team is responsible for developing and supporting the IT Infrastructure of both Metroline, and Comfort Delgro United Kingdom and Ireland group owned Companies.
The role will be based at our Office in Beeston, Nottingham. However, cover and exposure to the head office in Cricklewood will be required from time to time. There will be a requirement to travel to other Company offices or associated company locations.
Main Responsibilities
1. Provision of day-to-day support to the Infrastructure Head / Team and project managers, to assist in delivery, design, and development.
2. Maintain effective & efficient infrastructure services used for the delivery of IT solutions across all areas of the business.
3. Provide 3rd line support for fault resolution.
4. Providing infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of business.
5. Providing architectural and technical oversight to the rest of the Infrastructure Team.
6. Delivering IT infrastructure projects.
7. Ensuring IT infrastructure is appropriately maintained, secure and fit for purpose.
8. Ensuring that company’s IT Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery processes and systems are always available and fit for purpose.
9. Keeping abreast of new technology and proposing appropriate technical solutions to business problems.
10. Establish and maintain co-operative and productive work relationships with peers and help to improve team processes.
11. Design and implement secure infrastructure to support evolving company
12. Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
13. Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
14. Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the infrastructure.
15. Maintain regular relationships and escalate and work with vendors.

Essential/desirable criteria
16. Strong knowledge and experience of working with Citrix, VMware, Storage Technologies, Windows Server, Azure, Office, MDM (E)
17. Experience of configuration of Networking, LAN / WAN, MPLS, SDWAN, firewall technologies (D)
18. Experience of integrating and onboarding new Business Acquisitions into exisitng Infrastructure and Services. (E)
19. Good working knowledge of ITIL processes (E)
20. Excellent SharePoint knowledge and Configuration Skills (E)
21. Excellent communication and customer service skills. (E)
22. Excellent collaborator with the ability to work on own initiative. (E)
23. Prioritisation and organisation skills. (E)
24. Previous experience within a demanding environment. (E)
25. Full manual driving licence. (E)
Competencies & skills
26. Certification in one or more of VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, Storage Technologies, Cisco, or similar Technologies
27. Microsoft O (Windows Server –, Active Directory, SQL, PKI, VMware, Azure/AWS, NetApp
28. Experience of integrating and consolidating other Businesses into the Environment.
29. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships.
30. Strengths in logical analysis, and an ability to think creatively to deliver solutions.
31. SharePoint, consolidating of file storage and Standardising of SharePoint sites.
32. Demonstrate a strong ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to progress.
33. Present a professional image when representing Metroline.
34. Use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines and procedures.
35. Have a professional and patient manner when supporting users.
36. Able to explain technical concepts and procedures to non-technical users.

39. Knowledge of network security, network management tools, and network automation
40. ITIL/Change management or similar process experience
41. Good experience of Unix systems
Hours of work
38 hours per week between the core hours of 8.00am and 17.30pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional scheduled non business hours work (maintenance, upgrade, patching etc.)
