Specialist Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to join our expanding and developing Respiratory Outpatient Therapy team in North Devon.
The post holder will work with the current established team to assess and treat patients with complex Respiratory conditions. The focus is on empowering patients towards effective long-term self-management.
Both professions will enable patients to manage breathlessness and fatigue, to consider the impact on physical function, activity and mental wellbeing. To optimise breathing function through breathing control exercise, relaxation therapy, patient education, and the use of equipment, all which will enable an improvement in a patient's quality of life.
The role will mainly be in an outpatient setting with occasional digital group work or home assessments.

Job responsibilities
The current conditions assessed and treated by the team are:
* Asthma
* Long Covid
* Motor Neuron Disease
* Cystic Fibrosis
* Breathing Pattern Disorders
Do you have:
* Experience in working in Respiratory.
* Effective communication skills with patients, carers and other health care professionals.
* Ability to work as an autonomous practitioner.
* To participate in quality service improvement initiatives with the team to ensure we are constantly striving to deliver the highest quality services for our patients.
Working Pattern: To be informed at interview.
