As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a multifaceted team, ensuring the highest standards in supplier performance, cost management, and compliance.
This role requires a strategic approach, implementing processes and procedures to align sourcing plans with business objectives, and developing and nurturing key supplier and stakeholder relationships.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and mentor a diverse team to ensure high supplier performance, cost management, and compliance standards are met.
2. Implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives.
3. Develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
4. Uphold and implement replenishment systems.
5. Provide accurate and detailed reporting.
6. Demonstrate a deep understanding of lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Utilise strong negotiation skills to deliver quality and value.
9. Align procurement practices with company regulations and best practices.
10. Collaborate across departments to support cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
1. Demonstrable experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment.
2. A proven track record of leading high-performing, multifaceted teams.
3. MCIPS certification is advantageous.
4. Excellent negotiation, strategic, and influential skills.
5. Approachable, professional, and able to lead by example.
