About the role:
As the first hire in Aspire's People team in UK and Europe, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of our teams in new key markets. In this hybrid role, you will be working closely with the Head of Talent and the People Operations and Experience Manager to scale Aspire in the United Kingdom and beyond. You will be part of an amazing team responsible for attracting like-minded A-players to join our fast-growing organization while owning exciting people projects that impact the overall success of Aspire.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Talent Acquisition (60%):
o Partner with hiring managers to advise and understand hiring needs including developing talent pipeline globally
o Own the full end-to-end recruiting process while ensuring a positive candidate experience
o Proactively build a pipeline of talent to ensure the business has readily accessible talent in the market
o Work on projects to upscale the Talent and HR Operations functions at Aspire
o Be involved in employer branding initiatives regionally
2. HR Operations (40%):
o Support the delivery of people processes across the employee lifecycle
o Build Aspire's People infrastructure and processes in the region including onboarding, offboarding, payroll and benefits, workforce planning and employee relations
o Act as a primary point of contact for employees in the new markets, escalating more complex queries appropriately within the department
o Provide information and advice regarding the organization's policies and processes, while ensuring compliance with the organization's standard operating procedures and local legislative requirements
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of 8 years of end-to-end recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment
* Strong verbal and written English communication skills
* Collaborative and proactive stakeholder management skills
* In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, policies, regulations, including employment law and compliance requirements
Preferred qualifications:
* Experience working at a FinTech and/or a startup environment
* Working in a globally distributed recruiting team
* Relevant HR qualifications such as CIPD
