About the Opportunity
Technology, Consulting and Innovation (TC&I) is a fast paced, highly successful and growing operational business committed to working in partnership with our clients to contribute to the global need to achieve carbon net zero. We currently support a diverse range of projects and operations in areas including Defence, Laboratory Services, Robotics, Engineering, Fusion, Material Science.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join a small, highly valued operational commercial team as part of a broader capability within Jacobs.
You will provide effective and compliant contracting support to the TC&I business, to support in the delivery of the business plan, ensuring that work tendered and undertaken is on a sound commercial basis and in accordance with commercial policy.
The role is UK office based (Hybrid), with a substantial degree of flexibility in office location although a commutable distance to Birchwood is preferred. Some travel to other Jacobs’ or client’s offices, is expected.
The role will provide commercial support to:
1. Pre contract commercial activities – Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of contract review documentation, ensuring the commercial robustness of proposals including reviewing contracts (ROMs, offers, NDA, pre-teaming agreements, etc.) and negotiating with clients.
2. Post contract commercial management including building and updating Commercial Plans, sub-contracting, supporting change and variations, and involvement in dispute resolution.
3. Reviewing and supporting various agreements such as JV’s, Consortiums, NDA’s, Bonds and Guarantees
4. Ensuring Commercial Governance and providing commercial guidance to the business
5. Attending Operational Reviews to assess the needs of the Business and Operational Teams for Commercial support.
6. Attending Green Reviews to ensure all risks are covered before submitting an offer.
7. Work hand-in-hand as business partner to the Legal team
8. 360 Stakeholder management
For the avoidance of doubt this is a Commercial role (primarily Risk/Legal/Pricing) and not a sales based role although some sales activities may occur
