As Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the nursing staff to implement the care plans of patients at Schoen Clinic Newbridge. The nursing staff will decide the detailed care plans in conjunction with best practice (, NICE guidelines), and HCAs will participate in the development and implementation of daily activities to support the care plans.
Main duties of the job
1. Adhere to NICE guidelines;
2. Build therapeutic relationships with patients;
3. Conduct regular patient assessments;
4. Assist during meal times and support feeding methods;
5. Perform clinical tasks with expertise;
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals;
7. Ensure safety and report concerns;
8. Understand safeguarding principles

Essential
14. Must be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills
15. Good verbal and written communication skills
16. Must be able to ensure safe practice
17. Working in a healthcare setting
18. Able to maintain professional boundaries with patients
19. Experience in MS office systems
20. Experience of working effectively in a multidisciplinary team
21. Experience of working sensitively with patients, carers and relatives
Desirable
22. An awareness of NICE guidelines
23. Competent to undertake basic physical observations and personal care
24. Experience working as a HCA in an inpatient environment
