Job Role: Production Planning Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30am - 17:00 pm and Friday 08.30am - 14.30pm)
Salary: Neg on experience
Currently we have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Production Planning Manager to work for a leading PVC manufacturer based in Halifax. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of production planning/scheduling activity to the highest safety, operational, quality and inventory management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Key member of the manufacturing management team and contribute to the overall strategy for the supply chain and operation of the business.
2. Optimise the planning/scheduling efficiency, maximise productivity and customer satisfaction with high nineties of OTIF performance.
3. Ensure material availability, stock levels balanced and to match production plan.
4. Manage engineering changes effectively.
5. Create and actively progress and manage production plans.
6. Automate current process flow from customer order to FG's.
7. Support the Implementation of planning tool software.
8. Work with manufacturing to provide the most efficient and robust plans.
9. Work closely with the Operations, Sales and Technical functions.
10. Facilitate effective communication, liaising with SLT and across the business to achieve company objectives.
11. Ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
1. Previous experience of Production Planning Management (essential).
2. Experience in general manufacturing (essential).
3. Ability to communicate effectively on all levels.
4. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Advanced skills in Excel.
6. Sense of urgency - demonstrable energy and drive.
7. Commercially aware with strong influencing skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
