A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT MANAGER: Maintain Service Standards: Be present on the floor during peak times to ensure service standards are upheld. Team Communication: Conduct regular staff briefings to update the team on departmental, hotel, and company activities, including financial standing and customer feedback. Guest Feedback Management: Empower the team to handle guest feedback, address complaints proactively, and ensure feedback is recorded accurately. Cleanliness and Presentation: Take responsibility for the cleanliness and presentation of the restaurant. Anticipate Guest Needs: Enhance guest satisfaction by anticipating needs and promoting hospitality within the hotel. Staff Appearance and Conduct: Ensure staff are properly uniformed, maintain personal hygiene, and exhibit punctuality, politeness, and helpfulness. Promote Sales: Actively participate in increasing sales by upselling menu items. Operational Controls: Oversee cash reconciliation, monitor wastage and breakages, and ensure menus and promotional materials are accurate and up-to-date. Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve complaints, keeping the Duty Manager informed. Manage Reservations: Handle guest reservations, ensuring requests and dietary information are communicated effectively. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Proven experience in restaurant management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team and maintain composure under pressure. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
