We are looking for an HR Complex Casework Lead to join the team. This is a newly created role and the postholder will sit in the HR Business Partnering, Workforce Planning and Casework team.

We are looking for a motivated, confident, and enthusiastic individual, who can use their knowledge and experience to lead the day-to-day delivery of a high-quality professional casework service.
This is a high-profile post in a demanding environment, the successful candidate will be supporting leaders at all levels of the organisation and running a quality casework service for the department. The role also involves handling highly confidential information with integrity. Whilst the postholder will not have any direct reports, they will be expected to work very closely with the GCO HRBPs and support line managers.
* Lead on Casework by providing expert advice on a number of high profile ER cases as well as being the overall lead for Casework provision.
* Provide clear guidance to managers regarding their responsibilities within a process as well as clear advice/coaching to enable managers to make decisions whilst adhering to our policies and employment legislation.
* Working closely with the relevant HRBP for each department to ensure that cases in each area are being managed effectively, flagging any significant challenges with the HRBP and working together to consider strategic interventions.
* Relationship management of third-party suppliers including GLD, MoJ Casework Service, Home Office Investigation team.
* Working with teams across the Cabinet Office, such as security, fraud, vetting, press office, HMT, and the wider HR team to ensure cases are managed in a holistic way and risks are appropriately flagged and dealt with.
* Working closely with the policy team to ensure that lessons learned from cases are fed through to update policy where necessary. The postholder will be responsible for continuously reviewing the GCO Dispute and Disciplinary policies to ensure they continue to align with best practice and are working effectively.
* Where cases arise, supporting leaders through the Employment Tribunal stage, ensuring timely responses to information requests and accurate submissions.
* When cases close ensuring that key learning is captured so that we can focus on service improvement and building line manager capability to reduce case volumes.
* The collection and subsequent analysis and presentation of robust casework data and insights to senior stakeholders and boards.
* Maintain and track casework records through internal systems.
* Raising casework capability across the organisation through targeted interventions and continuous improvement processes.
* Working with other Goverment departments/ agency HR teams are the key point of contact for casework.
* Ensuring sensitive employee data is stored and handled appropriately in line with Departmental policies. Responding to FOI/SARs where applicable.
* Proactively enhancing your own expertise and learning to ensure you are a subject matter expert of Casework.
