We are recruiting for a part time administrator for our residential children’s home in Portchester. Our home accommodates children aged 14 – 18 and specialises in providing therapeutic informed practices for our young people, supporting them towards independence. The successful applicant will work onsite supporting a team of support workers and the home management to ensure the delivery of continuous high-quality service and growth. Working as our administrator you will be involved in a range of exciting and rewarding things like: Using your great communication skills - Maintaining a professional manner, answering the phone positively, responding to any queries and passing on the necessary information. Demonstrating fantastic attention to detail - Attending meetings, recording and distributing notes as well as typing up reports, letters and emails. Keeping everyone organised - Managing the day to day diaries of the management team. Every penny counts – Undertaking financial tasks including the petty cash and monitoring of this process. Supporting with staffing and coordination -To aid and support the leadership team with Rota management, recording of staffing usage and taking part in the recruitment process. Compliance is key – Monitoring the staff training matrix and establishing any required links or training plans that may be identified. Dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s - Supporting the homes management in updating and creating development plans as well as six monthly regulation 45 reports. Keeping things safe - Monitoring maintenance tasks and liaising with the maintenance department and the home management to ensure that any outstanding tasks are reported or in line to be completed Using your previous experience - Possessing competent IT skills. The ability to use Microsoft word, excel and outlook are a must. Power Point and Publisher knowledge are also desirable. Successful candidates will be required to provide an enhanced Disclosure (DBS). This disclosure cost will be met by Fair Ways.
