Job Description:
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the integrity and fairness of Formula 1 and its support series.
As a Sporting Analyst, you will work at the centre of elite motorsport governance, supporting decision-making processes and improving sporting operations at the highest level.
You will report directly to the single-seater Head of Information Systems Strategy.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Race Control System Management & Operations
* Work as part of a team to ensure the proper functioning of FIA Race Control & Race Management Systems.
* Develop expertise to fulfil the role of Marshalling Systems Operator for FIA and support series, directly managing the function of Race Control & Race Management Systems during race and test events.
* Become proficient in the use of the F1 start system to serve as a backup for the F1 Permanent Starter.
Stakeholder Support & Assistance
* Provide daily support to FIA systems users, including F1 teams, officials, and stewards.
* Assist stewards in managing official documents through the FIA F1 Document Management System (DMS).
* Support F2/F3 steward in using their respective DMS system.
* Guide F1 teams and third parties in using FIA systems and accessing relevant data.
Service Provider Coordination & Infrastructure Management
* Work closely with FIA F1 service providers to ensure system performance and reliability.
* Monitor and report issues related to FIA infrastructure and communication links.
Software Deployment & Maintenance
* Coordinate the collection and distribution of necessary software updates.
* Assist in managing the third party software licensing.
* Support the creation of session data replay projects (F1, F2, F3) and export incidents to the FIA Incident HUB.
Regulatory Compliance & Knowledge
* Maintain knowledge of changes in sporting regulations and their impact on FIA systems and services.
PROFILE:
* Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as IT, Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Min 3 years experience in an equivalent position and working environment.
* Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage.
* Proven experience in operating complex IT and software systems in motorsport.
* Strong knowledge of motorsport operations and specific requirements of IT and software systems deployed in such environments.
* Proficiency in MS 365 core applications and Adobe Acrobat.
* Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Ability to respond quickly and manage critical situations in real time.
* High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
* Attendance at 14-18 FIA World Championship events and additional travels as required to attend FIA meetings and events.
* The position is ideally based in the UK, but flexible to relocate to Geneva or Paris.
