Knowledge
Essential
* Sound up to date clinical knowledge of core conditions and applied therapy techniques relating to the speciality of cancer and lymphoedema.
* Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, manage a busy workload and time.
* Delegation skills.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
* As an autonomous practitioner, is able to work as a team member as well as alone but with access to more senior colleague.
* IT skills - basic.
* Knowledge of NHS procedures, policies and guidelines.
* Ability to formulate and develop specialised individual treatment programmes and ability in using clinical reasoning skills based on current best practice.
* To have completed core rotations at postgraduate level.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good presentation/teaching skills.
* Ability to work well as a team member and help to motivate other team members as required.
* Ability to work within a stressful and unpredictable environment.
* Ability to communicate clearly, accurately and in a logical manner giving due attention to details.
* Ability to explain, encourage, motivate and empathise with people.

* Sound clinical knowledge of Breast Cancer and Lymphoedema.
Qualifications
Essential
* Evidence of experience in the form of an up to date professional development portfolio.
* Graduate Diploma or degree (BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent).
* HCPC registration.

* Membership of relevant Professional Body.
Further Training
Essential
* Evidence of postgraduate courses/experience relevant to cancer and lymphoedema.
Desirable
* Leadership Training/Practice Placement Educators training/clinical supervisors training.
* Attendance at relevant clinical postgraduate courses.
Experience
Essential
* Completion of junior Rotational Programmes working in a wide variety of acute and chronic physical settings including surgical, respiratory, orthopaedic outpatients & experience of working with oncology patients.
* Experience of supervising and contributing to clinical education of other staff, assistants and students.
* NHS experience.
* Experience of working with a variety of therapeutic approaches.
* Willingness to participate in and experience of audit and service review.
* Proven ability to work under pressure.

* Participate in the respiratory on call physiotherapy rota.
* Willingness to participate in 7 day working rota.
* To work flexibly depending on the needs of the service including evening and weekend working as required.
