Lancashire County Council is looking for dynamic and dedicated Commissioning Support Officers to join our Strategic Integrated Commissioning and Contracts Team on a fixed-term basis for 12 months, working within our International Recruitment and Carers services. About the Role: As a Commissioning Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our Strategic Integrated Commissioning and Contracts Team, driving projects that enhance adult social care services. You will be playing a key role in one of the two following teams: International Recruitment: Supporting displaced recruits and coordinating with government departments. Your work will directly impact the well-being of individuals in our community. Early Help and Prevention: Engaging in projects that focus on supporting carers and preparing the team for CQC assurance. Key Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include providing essential administrative, technical, and project management support. You’ll interpret data, apply analytical skills to find solutions, and produce key documents like reports and policy papers. Collaborating with internal and external partners will be crucial to your success. In this role, you will ensure smooth operations and successful project delivery. Your responsibilities will include data analysis and reporting to find solutions and create important documents. You will also assist in developing policies and strategies, supporting projects such as Supported Living remodelling and Extra Care housing options. Collaboration with partners will be essential to delivering integrated services. About You: Ideally, you have a recognized vocational or professional qualification with broad experience. You might be working towards a professional qualification or be a graduate with practical experience. Your strong analytical skills allow you to interpret data and spot trends, helping you navigate complex situations and find effective solutions. You excel at multi-tasking and project management, overseeing tasks from start to finish and keeping everything on track. You naturally train and mentor less experienced staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow. Your approachable nature makes you a go-to person for advice. With your technical or professional expertise, you influence others and drive positive outcomes. Building and maintaining effective networks and relationships comes naturally to you. You understand the importance of collaboration and foster strong connections with colleagues and partners. Your excellent communication skills enable you to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Whether drafting reports or presenting ideas, you convey information clearly and effectively. You are proficient with office programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel, enabling you to manage various technical tasks with ease.
