Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist for Fridays to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health.
2. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
3. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
4. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
5. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records using Dentrix software.
6. Assist in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments to optimize office efficiency.
7. Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans for patients requiring specialized care, including orthodontics.
8. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Requirements
1. Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
2. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics is a plus.
3. Bilingual skills are highly desirable to better serve our diverse patient base.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology and dental assisting practices is beneficial.
5. Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
