Job summary An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team at Mitcheldean Surgery in the beautiful Forest of Dean. We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and flexible Salaried GP or GP Partner to work 6 sessions working in collaboration with our existing friendly team to deliver Primary Care Medical Services. 6 Sessions will cover Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (on call) Main duties of the job In accordance with the practice rota, to undertake a variety of duties to include: Surgery consultations and queries including face to face, telephone, video and online consulting. Visiting patients at home. Duty doctor and emergency on-call cover during opening hours. Checking and signing of prescriptions and dealing with associated queries. Dealing with workflow in a timely manner. About us We are a training Practice with a growing list size of 7100 and dispense to approximately 40% of our patients. We work hard to maintain our excellent reputation in the community and enjoy a friendly atmosphere in the Surgery with our patients being known to many staff. We support a number of local nursing and learning disability homes and are actively engaged with fellow Practices in the Forest Green PCN. We pride ourselves on being an accessible service and have regularly scored top 3 in NHS surveys. We offer most of the Enhanced Services and join with the Forest Green PCN to provide EA sessions.
