School of Psychology The Lecturer in Psychology job role sits in the School of Psychology and Social Sciences, which has grown significantly over the last 3 years, and our journey continues. Our academic team has a diverse range of experiences from working in academia, as practitioners and working in industry. The focus for our Lecturers in Psychology is on developing students in both discipline knowledge and applied skills to make them employer-ready when they graduate from us. The role As a Psychology Experimental Officer, you will play a vital role in providing technical support for both teaching and research activities within our distance and blended learning psychology programmes. You will assist students at undergraduate and postgraduate academic levels in using specialised psychology software such as SPSS, Jamovi and Gorilla and conducting experiments. You will deliver personalised one-to-one support, lead group tutorials, and offer demonstrations and training sessions, both in-person and online. You will also manage the virtual laboratory, develop training materials, and contribute to broader academic initiatives across the University. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support across psychology teaching and research. Assist students with using psychology software and running experiments. Deliver one-to-one support, group tutorials, and demonstrations. Manage the virtual laboratory and contribute to academic initiatives. About You: To be successful as a Psychology Experimental officer you must have: BPS-accredited Psychology degree. Experience in teaching or providing tutorial support. Strong IT skills with expertise in SPSS, Jamovi, and Gorilla. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
