Calderdale Museums Service is looking for a part-time Visitor Services Assistant to work across its sites, including working weekends and on occasion evening work.
The salary is annualised and there is a summer rota working March to October and then a winter rota working November to February, with longer hours in summer and shorter hours per fortnight in winter.
In this role you will be the vital point of contact for visitors and provide a high standard of customer care, ensuring visitors are able to enjoy and learn from their experience at the museum.
You will have strong communication skills and experience of working with the public in a customer service environment, either in a paid or voluntary capacity. Ideally you will have experience of cash handling and financial administration.
You will be required to be a key holder for the service, which on occasion might result in responding to out of hours call-outs. You will also have practical cleaning and general maintenance skills and be aware of the importance of Health & Safety issues.
