About the role As Senior Lecturer in Secondary Education (PGCE English), you will significantly contribute to the delivery of our Secondary Education English modules and to the delivery of other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise. You will lead the PGCE Secondary (11-16) English with QTS programme and teach and support students and partners contributing to the ITE curriculum and undertaking research and/or engage in relevant knowledge exchange activity aligned to the themes of the Faculty of Education. This post will allow you to play an active role in leading and developing the PGCE Secondary (11-16) English with QTS programmes developed by an Outstanding Ofsted-rated institution. You will develop your professional networks and experience via our nation-wide engagement with schools and other education and community partners. This post will also allow you to combine your interests in teaching and providing a high-quality experience for trainees with an opportunity to undertake research and/or knowledge exchange.
