DETAILS:
A large special educational needs college based in Willesden and Wembley, which caters for students aged between 16 to 25 years old with Autism, SLD and Complex Needs, is looking for enthusiastic and resilient learning support assistants to join them ASAP. The successful learning support assistant will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
You will need:
1. To be committed to providing support to learners with a range of needs, be flexible in your approach, and be able to work as part of a team.
2. Excellent communication skills, along with patience and enthusiasm.
3. Previous experience with SEND is a requirement.
4. Understanding and experience using Makaton, PECs, and sensory approaches are advantageous but not essential.
This is a long-term role to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the next academic year (July 2025).

1. Learning Support Assistant - working with ASD, SEMH, learning disabilities.
2. Full and part-time availability.
3. Ideal Candidate: Previous SEND experience is essential; Makaton and PECS experience - highly desirable but not essential.
