Stannah, atrusted name in lift and escalator solution, is seeking a TechnicalEscalator Manager to lead national efforts in improving first-timefix rates and reducing repeat call incidents across a major clientportfolio. This role is to cover the South ofEngland.
As the Technical Escalator Manager, youwill play a key role in developing a strategic improvement planthat enhances the technical knowledge and skills of both engineersand field management.
By fostering a culture oftechnical excellence, you will ensure that product-specific supportdocumentation and maintenance methodologies are developed andembedded across the team.
This role involvesregular collaboration with engineers, field managers, and suppliersto identify issues, deliver training programs, and implementprocess improvements to optimise asset reliability and customersatisfaction.
This position requires anexperienced professional from the escalator industry, capable ofdriving technical improvements and ensuring operational excellenceacross the national portfolio.
Travelling andoccasional overnight stays will be required as part of thisrole.
KeyResponsibilities:
Reporting to theInfrastructure Operations Manager, the Technical Escalator Managerwill be responsible for:
* Developingand implementing a national improvement plan focused on enhancingfirst-time fix rates and reducing repeatcalls.
* Analysing performance data to identifyand prioritize underperforming assets, and implementing targetedsolutions.
* Designing and delivering technicaltraining programs for engineers and field managers to addressproduct and skill gaps.
* Collaborating withinternal teams and suppliers to create product-specific technicaldocumentation and adjust maintenancemethodologies.
* Leading strategic reviews andmeasuring the effectiveness of training and performanceimprovements.
* Acting as a technical leader tomotivate, coach, and engage branch engineers and technicians toimprove overall field performance.
* Maintainingstrong working relationships with internal teams, customers, andexternal suppliers to drive continuous improvement and customersatisfaction.
* Assist the local service branchesto diagnose, identify and source parts andequipment
Skills andExperience:
* Provenexperience in technical service management, within the escalatorindustry.
* Strong leadership and communicationskills, with a focus on coaching and motivatingteams.
* Demonstrated success in deliveringtechnical improvement programs and driving operationalperformance.
* Ability to develop and manageworking relationships at all levels, ensuring full engagement withtechnical and service developmentprograms.
* Strong problem-solving skills with aproactive and strategic approach to servicedelivery.
* Relevant professional or technicalqualifications, including NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering(required) and NVQ Level 4 in Testing and Commissioning(desirable).
