Job Title: Quality Engineer
Experienced and enthusiastic Quality Engineer required to support the quality team in ensuring compliance, undertaking inspections, and identifying non-conformance on a range of high-tech solutions.

Our client has been established for almost a quarter of a century and is recognized as a UK market leader in the design and manufacture of bespoke solutions for diverse applications including hazardous environments, medical, robotics, tracking, automotive, mobility, marine, and aerospace. Employing more than 50 people, they supply specifically to OEM companies. Due to continued success and strategic growth, they are seeking an experienced, proactive, and practical Quality Engineer to join their professional team.
Reporting:
The successful candidate will report to the Senior Quality Manager and will be responsible for activities including but not limited to:
1. Managing daily quality activities within the entire production area, ensuring compliance with BMS procedures.
2. Assisting in the management and maintenance of Business Management Systems, quality investigations, and continuous improvement projects.
3. Mentoring and guiding Quality Control and Operations staff in quality initiatives.
4. Conducting controlled and random inspections of products on the shop floor to ensure design requirements are met and work instructions are followed.
5. Identifying, segregating, and reporting non-conformances.
6. Collaborating on non-conformance investigations and continuous improvement projects.
7. Performing first-off inspections according to work instructions and drawings, updating records as needed.
8. Carrying out product release and out-of-box inspections to customer specifications.
9. Conducting goods-inwards inspections and maintaining necessary records.
10. Reporting any H&S or environmental concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication at all levels, proficiency with MS Office, and knowledge of hand measurement tools (Vernier calipers, micrometers, digital multimeters) are essential. Experience with reading geometric drawings, conducting or assisting with audits, and working in an SME ISO environment will be advantageous.
