Job Title: Call Centre Advisor
Location: Wiltron House, Stevenage
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week 8:30-5pm Mon-Fri
Trust Location: East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust
What you’ll be responsible for:
1. Assist with appointment queries from the patient and/or their accompanying friends/relatives in a polite and courteous manner.
2. Cancel appointments as requested by the patients and complete a MS form for onward management by the booking team.
3. To liaise with medical, nursing and other specialty staff on administration enquiries as directed by your Supervisor.
4. To support fellow colleagues & new staff in the role to ensure staff are multi-skilled & standardised processes are in place across Trust to cross cover other Administration Advisors & support the department during leave of absences.
5. Use Excel spreadsheets and the Trust’s Lorenzo and ERS appointment systems to cancel appointments.
6. Complete a record of the call for onward management of the patients pathway by the booking and clinical teams.
7. To maintain the integrity of patient data recorded on any of our systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality of data extracted.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
1. Microsoft Office package knowledge e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel.
2. Communication skills - both verbal and written.
3. Excellent telephone manner.
4. Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload.
5. Previous administrative experience.
6. Previous NHS experience.
7. NHS System Knowledge.
