What will the successful candidate be doing?
We are looking for a Senior Lead Auditor to join us in the Internal Audit & Assurance team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the Maritime and Coastguard Agency maintains its ISO certification and continues to operate to good standards of corporate governance meeting all legal obligations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Coordinating and undertaking a program of ISO9001:2015 audits in all areas of the business, identifying non-compliance and best practice to produce evidence based timely reports and manage any corrective actions to ensure timely resolution.
* Provide mentoring for colleagues on the best approach to meet the requirements of the ISO standard and the health and safety management system.
* Monitoring progress on ISO9001:2015 issues to ensure that the management reports provide an accurate reflection of the current status of compliance.
* Provide competent ISO9001 advice to all areas of the business and maintain the quality management system to ensure compliance.
* Manage the production of accurate quality management system information and provide recommendations to the management boards for improving ISO9001 compliance.
* Lead on quality management system policy reviews ensuring that all instructions and guidance for the business are kept up to date and continually improve.
* Develop lead auditors in the effective application of the internal audit processes.
* Provide ISO9001:2015 training as required.
You will be required to regularly travel within the UK (occasionally to remote locations) which may involve overnight stays. On occasion there will be a requirement to work outside normal conditioned hours.
