Part Time Vehicle Valeter/Detailer
Main Duties & Responsibilities
• Valet / detail vehicles to the highest possible standards
• Maintenance of vehicle forecourt/display area
• Carry out internal and external inspections of vehicles to identify work required on delivery
• Ability to complete inspections on a vehicle including basic roadworthy checks – oil, tyres, etc.
• Ensure health and safety procedures and all company polices are adhered to
• Maintain the workspace i.e. sweeping the floor after every detail, clean tools and equipment, tidy up at the end of the day, etc
• Complete all relevant paperwork
• Remove/refit wheels, trims, roof racks & numberplates
• Decal removal, machine polishing, paint correction and touch ins
• Wetvac seats and deep clean interiors
• Photographing and videoing of stock
Person Specification
• Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.
• A driving licence valid in the UK
• A good understanding of vehicles
• Experience of cleaning vehicles to a high standard
• Organised, calm and with good attention to detail
• Experience of machine polishing & paint correction
• Ability to work as part of a small team and on own initiative
• Superb communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure & follow instructions given
• Good time management
• A positive work ethic and ability to be responsive to a flexible workload
Further Information
Reporting to: DLS General Manager
Based: Redruth Site (TR15 3RQ)
Hours of Work: Part Time: Thursday and Friday 14:00 – 18:00 and Saturday 08:00 -16:00
Salary: £11.50 per hour
Holiday Entitlement: 5.6 weeks per year (including Bank Holidays). Holiday benefit – For every continuous year you’re with us, you’ll receive an extra day of holiday, up to a maximum of five. Pro rata for part-time employees.
