Job overview
We require a HPC Registered Dietitian to join our friendly department of Dietitians providing the nutrition and dietetic service to Hounslow Borough.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in Community Dietetics in a supportive environment. In the wider Dietetic team, we have specialist areas such as cardiology and paediatrics.

Due to the requirement to travel around Hounslow Borough, it is desirable that you have your own means of transport.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide a service to patients in the Community and in Residential and Nursing Homes who are on Oral Nutrition Support.
2. Train and educate GP’s and other Practice and Community staff on Oral Nutrition Support policies and procedures.
3. Contribute to the Cardiac Rehabilitation team to provide an effective Dietetic cardiac rehab service to staff, carers, and patients referred.
4. Contribute to the community outpatients and domiciliary services across Hounslow.
5. Run weight management group sessions.
6. Work as a member of the dietetic department, providing a comprehensive dietetic service to the agreed work areas.
7. Provide nutritional counselling to patients/clients referred for ONS.
8. Provide expert advice regarding nutritional support for patients based on clinical evidence, involving nutritional assessment and calculation of nutritional requirements.

* Health Professions Council Registration
* Degree/Post graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
* Membership of British Dietetic Association
Experience
* Sound knowledge of current Nutrition and Dietetic issues
* Understanding of special dietary needs of a diverse community
