Vickerstock are working in partnership with a manufacturing firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Manager. As a SHEQ Manager, you will lead and implement the organisation's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality strategies, ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all operations. In your new role: Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best practices Lead and conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify areas for improvement and to mitigate risks Promote a safety-first culture by delivering training and awareness programs for staff at all levels Oversee incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are applied Collaborate with department leaders to establish and meet SHEQ objectives aligned with company goals Prepare and present SHEQ reports and metrics to senior management, making recommendations for improvements Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance What you will need to succeed: 3 years' experience in a similar Health and Safety role Relevant NEBOSH qualification Experience with ISO Experience with investigations, audits, inspections, compiling reports and making recommendations as appropriate Understanding of lean manufacturing Good communication skills, including written, oral and presentation skills Excellent IT skills (MS Office) Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't): NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Internal auditor certification Environmental certification For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
