Permanent Vacancy: Accommodation Project Worker

Location: YMCA Trinity Group – Based at YMCA sites in Ipswich.

Job Role: Our accommodation team supports and works with young people aged 16 to 18 years old. As an Accommodation Project Worker, you will assist and interact with residents to ensure they have basic life skills to enable them to develop the necessary skills for successful resettlement.
Skills and Experience: In summary, successful applicants will have the following qualities:
* Experience working with children and young adults, preferably in a care or support role.
* Understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.
* Good understanding of partnership working and experience of working with young people.
* Be a team player who works well under pressure.
* Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain excellent client records & an ability to liaise with external agencies.
* An understanding of current mental health issues.
* Able to manage challenging behaviour.
* Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication.
Days and hours: This post is contracted for 40 hours, working a 7-day rota on a 2-week rotation of early and late shifts. Working one weekend every month.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is £25,604.80, plus additional benefits include:
