Our Regeneration Legal Group spearheads the complex negotiation, drafting and delivery of the planning, property and regeneration work that makes this revolution happen. We’re now expanding the team to deliver on the Council’s ambitious strategy: Investing in Success: An Economic Strategy for Manchester.
Can you bring us the legal knowledge, experience, agility and innovation we need to get this done?
We are expanding our Regeneration Legal Group to support Manchester’s strategy – blending property, planning, and regeneration work to create the vibrant future we all envision.
We have a number of legal officer roles, offering opportunities to get involved in some of the most interesting legal work in the city at the beginning of your legal career. In this role you will:
* Undertake your own varied case load and have the opportunity to work alongside senior officers on more complex regeneration transactions.
* Work with and build strong working relationships across teams and clients.
* Provide effective advice and representation on matters related to a wide range of commercial and regeneration legal work such as contracts, procurement, and grant funding.
* Draft, agree and complete commercial agreements and documents.
* Have the opportunity to work alongside senior officers on more complex regeneration transactions.

About the Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you have experience of:
* Hold one of the following qualifications, or equivalent: CILEX Professional Diploma in Law (Level 3); law degree; LPC, PGDL.
* Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promotes understanding.
* Demonstrate the ability to organize multiple tasks in the most effective way.
* Ability to make effective decisions on a day-to-day basis, taking ownership of decisions.
* Able and confident to resolve moderately complicated queries in their area of knowledge.
* Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to problems.
* Numeracy and accuracy skills to collate information and keep accurate and reliable records.
* Be able and committed to working in a flexible manner including outside normal office hours, where necessary.
