The role
The BSM accepts responsibility for providing support and services to AR Firms/Advisers. This includes providing guidance and feedback on day-to-day processing of business and promotional activities.
They liaise with colleagues across all internal teams to manage the relationship, tailoring where viable and appropriate to do so. They have line management responsibility for the team of Associates/Admin.
This role provides MI reporting to the SMT and is expected to be proactive in identifying and putting forward system and process improvements to improve efficiency as often as possible.
Key responsibilities
* Complete 1-2-1s, review annual performance (including observations)
* Complete reviews of mortgage & insurance cases, provide feedback on risks, shortfalls or potential fraud for adviser action
* Liaise with Advisers and/or Auditors where required for cases where potential risks and/or fraud are identified
* Maximise retention of AR network members
* Manage staffing levels and attendance within the team
* Deal with adviser queries by phone/email, giving instructions to complete cases in line with standards & regulations
* Monitor AR competence records (CPD), test their knowledge of standards & regulatory requirements and provide feedback
* Review sales promotions & documentation and provide feedback/guidance as required
* Keep spreadsheets up to date and produce MI reports as & when required
* Complete 1-2-1s with team, providing feedback on performance, agreeing development plans & checking wellbeing
These are the primary responsibilities of the role, on which the individual will be assessed and their performance measured. From time to time they may be asked to undertake other activities to support the team/company overall. These will be defined by their line manager and the expected period/duration confirmed.
These responsibilities may be varied and/or expanded in line with business need in the future. This will be communicated in advance of any changes.
