Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PLC Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining PLC control systems for a variety of applications related to the control of renewable energy and electricity grid applications we want to harness your existing PLC design skills and apply them to our exciting industry. What youll be doing Design of PLC based control systems for industrial control processes related to renewable energy projects, including export limitation and control of heat exchangers. Create overall designs including I/O cards, PLC selection, Logic ladder diagrams and hardware design Create detailed engineering drawings and schematics in CAD including panel layouts, wiring diagrams and I/O drawings Sourcing and working with production to get panels manufactured and tested Programming PLCs and troubleshooting What we're looking for Previous PLC design experience (5 years ) Electrical Engineering qualifications (HND/C or equivalent desirable) Experience of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) Extensive experience with AutoCAD and relevant CAD packages Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
