Deputy Clinical Modality Manager (General X-Ray and Interventional)
The General X-Ray and Fluoroscopy department at Eastbourne District General hospital supports 15 pieces of X-Ray, Interventional, and fluoroscopic equipment on a single acute site.
Our aim is to provide high quality diagnostic support to patients referred from our clinical/non-medical referrer colleagues.
The department supports a 24 hour acute service, working closely with A+E, Outpatients and In-patient referrers, as well as supporting GP colleagues in Primary care.
Main duties of the job
The role supports 33 staff within the department as well as working closely with other multidisciplinary partners.
The main duties of the job are:
* Direct clinical support
* Developing and supporting governance structures
* HR support
* Rostering
* Driving quality improvements through an active QSI programme
* Induction and training of new staff

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Radiographer registered with the Health Professions Council
* Evidence of postgraduate development around education and practice or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Evidence of continued professional development to masters level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Qualification in Education
Experience
* Evidence of post registration experience working within an acute hospital setting is desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience of multi-disciplinary and interagency working.
* Experience of supervision and appraising staff.
* Delivering services along evidence-based guidelines.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary working.
* Experience of providing training / presentations.
* Skilled in the use of reflective practice.
* Ability to manage own workload and to prioritise deadlines.
* Experience of inter-professional working.
* Experience of Service Development.
* RPS Trained.

Salary: £46,148 to £52,809 per annum, pro rata.
