Transport Administrator Linkster Recruitment have an exciting job opportunity available for a Transport Administrator at one of our clients in the FMCG sector in Lichfield. We are looking to fill a Fixed Term Contract role for about 15 months to cover maternity leave, with the potential for a permanent position thereafter. Key Responsibilities: As a Transport Administrator, your duties will include but are not limited to: Collecting and approving drivers’ delivery and collection paperwork. Liaising with the Raw Materials department to ensure all collections are made and paperwork is in order. Contacting suppliers to book and rearrange transport collections as needed. Handling drivers’ absence and holiday records. Allocating transport on internal systems for deliveries and collections. Processing drivers’ expenses for payroll. Booking vehicle and trailer inspections for regular maintenance. Raising supplier invoices and ensuring prompt payment through account liaison. Assisting the Fleet Planner with vehicle routing. Being available for out-of-hours call for any delivery or breakdown issues once trained. Skills & Experience of the Transport Administrator: The ideal candidate should possess: Previous experience in a transport administrative role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. A positive, proactive attitude, able to work under pressure and independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn additional software. The ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Working Hours and Benefits: The position offers a structured work week, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, along with on-call duties every 3-4 weeks. In terms of benefits, you can expect: A competitive salary of £32,926 p/a (£15.83 p/h). On-call allowance of £2,400 p/a (£200 p/month). A discretionary annual bonus of £1,000. Overtime paid at time and a half. Pension Scheme. Direct employment on a fixed-term contract basis.
