About the role As a Public Health Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing public health specialist leadership to promote health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities in Southampton. These are rewarding, challenging roles that can deliver real impact. You will assess population need, use evidence, and create, implement and evaluate strategies, policies, programmes and services with others in our vibrant City. Our work is fast-paced and long term, complex and changeable. These roles include leadership within the key agendas of sexual health, suicide prevention and the wider determinants. About you: To thrive as a Public Health Senior Practitioner, you will need experience of working with a range of stakeholders to improve outcomes, producing evidence-based strategies, informing commissioning and working at a senior level to inspire change and improvement. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills and be passionate about reducing health inequalities. You will be a self-starter, collaborative and innovative, with experience of supporting communities and patients to articulate their own public health concerns. Applicants require a post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification.
