Payroll Manager - 6 month FTC (potential to go perm) - £40,000 - £50,000 Excellent Benefits - West Manchester
Axon Moore is proud to be representing this high growth, reputable business based in West Manchester, in the search of a Payroll Manager for a 6 month FTC (potential to go perm). This role will be managing a small team, so previous experience in managing people would be preferred, along with full end to end Payroll experience. A great benefits package is on offer. This role is an immediate start to ensure a handover period.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Reporting and statutory filings (P14/P60, P11D, P45, New Starters, FPS, EPS)
2. Managing a team of 2
3. Ensure all records are kept up to date and filing of all documents is done to agreed timescales.
4. Ensure all statutory reporting is completed to the highest standards within legislation deadlines.
5. Processing of payroll deductions (Childcare, Pension, Union, Court Orders, GAYE, etc.)
6. Completion of pension schedule and subsequent loading of pension data onto pension administrator website and ensure compliance with Auto enrolment legislation.
7. Processing of Monthly Statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, etc.) & ensuring all deductions are carried out correctly for NI and paid to correct authorities on time.
8. Ad Hoc reporting to both internal and external clients.
9. Ensure expenses (credit card & cash) are in line with the expenses guidelines.
10. Casual Payroll - ensure all payments are aligned with Casual contracts and correct treatment of PAYE & NI.
11. Work with 3rd party payroll partners to ensure overseas payroll payments are correctly made.
12. Assist Payroll Manager with production of company benefits and any other ad hoc queries.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
1. At least 3-5 years end to end Payroll experience
2. Part / fully qualified CIPP Qualification would be desirable
3. Previous management experience
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Ability to work to strict deadlines
6. Experience with processing payrolls & dealing with Tax, NI & Pension
7. Confidentiality at all times
8. Great communication skills
9. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
10. Flexible and adaptable in approach to work
11. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
12. Experience with Select Payroll (Not Essential)
