To work autonomously as a specialist craftsperson in area of expertise, planning and responding to Planned Preventive Maintenance and emergency calls.
To take responsibility for diagnostic fault finding, problem solving and repair and maintenance of primarily mechanical equipment including but not limited to LTHW boilers, Air Handling Units, Domestic water services and heating systems.
To undertake servicing and installation of this equipment and systems within the Trust and in other properties maintained by the Maintenance Department as directed.
Partake in the installation of services through small or capital works programmes.
To set out new work or set up new production appropriate to his/her original trade using relevant instruments and machinery without supervision.
Partake in the mechanical on-call rota.
Maintain equipment as part of a PPM regime.
