The successful applicants will have the opportunity to be appointed as Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School (HYMS). This honorary appointment is in recognition of contribution to teaching and research and holders of honorary titles may request access to HYMS and University premises and facilities, systems, and library services.

Main duties of the job
We are recruiting for our established Respiratory Department with positions designed for driven, visionary Consultants ready to help us pioneer new services in respiratory care. Your role will involve working with an exceptional team of 9 Consultants, delivering comprehensive respiratory services (excluding cystic fibrosis) and building our capabilities in thoracic ultrasound and medical thoracoscopy. We're especially keen to hear from specialists in areas such as EBUS, Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Disease, Asthma, Sleep Disorders, NIV, and Pleural Disease. There are also opportunities to shape care in Tuberculosis, COPD, and Bronchiectasis.

Job responsibilities
1. Clinical Excellence: Provide high-quality, evidence-based care, contribute to the adult internal medicine rota, and work in collaboration with the existing team to deliver timely EBUS and bronchoscopy services.

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification MRCP
* Full registration with the GMC at time of appointment.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Undertaken programme of training acceptable to the Royal College of Physicians for appointment to Consultant Status
* Entry on the Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within six months of interview), CESR or European Community Rights
* Evidence of specific training in Respiratory Medicine
* Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining professional skills and knowledge relevant to the job.
Desirable
* ALS Provider certificate
* Evidence of involvement in Clinical Research
* Evidence of participation in Clinical Audit
