Plus generous benefits including: • 45 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) • Generous Occupational Pension Scheme About the role This is a critically important role responsible for oversight of our cohort of International students. Working with our Heads of Curriculum, you will seek to expand our international activity, ensuring that our marketing and recruitment processes are effective in attracting and retaining International Students. You will also ensure that we comply with UK Visa and Immigration requirements and maintain the college’s sponsor licence. You will work with colleagues to ensure international students receive appropriate Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) prior to and during the application process, an appropriate induction experience, and receive all necessary welfare and support services. You will also have oversight of the recruitment and management of homestay hosts, making sure that International Students’ accommodation complies with all related legislation, and provide appropriate support to our homestay providers where required. Many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including working from home. We are open to discussing other possibilities for flexible working and encourage you to talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need. About the Person Ideally you will have experience of working with International students; experience of customer service and providing advice and guidance to both internal and external partners; project management experience or experience of organising events; have a working knowledge of visa processes relating to International students; and be sensitive and welcoming of people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. The role is fixed-term from August 2025 until September 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave About the College We are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more one million people.
