About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an Alternative Provision setting, working with a Secondary School. This Day-to-Day Supply offers you the chance to positively impact young learners who need it most.
Key Responsibilities of SEMH Teaching Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement EHCP's
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Support students with their emotional, social, and academic development.
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
About You:
* Experience working as a SEMH TA is essential – this role requires someone who understands the complexities and rewards of supporting students with additional needs.
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to adapt to the needs of the school and its pupils.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support are highly desirable.
