Job Purpose
This role is for a non-working supervisor to support and oversee the delivery of all planned, reactive works and small works on a new framework covering the edinburgh postcode. Completion within agreed timescales and budgets whilst complying with company policy and procedure. Working closely with the Operations manager to ensure budgets are on target alongside regular performance reporting to the client.
Key Accountabilities
* To assist office & field teams to ensure smooth delivery of all reactive and planned works by reviewing and managing team schedules.
* Assist the management of all field engineers to ensure contract KPI’s and SLA’s are achieved;
* Liaise with the client and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Carry out various checks on engineers’ performance.
* Regularly meet with client to resolve any ongoing maintenance issues.
* Monitor and report on the operational performance of your designated region, including delivery of planned and reactive works;
* Scope and assist estimator to price small work projects then oversee delivery onsite.
* Liaise with subcontractors to obtain quotations for reactive tasks and manage sub-contractors working on site;
* The management, development and motivation of their team of direct reports including the assessment and monitoring of job performance and where necessary, facilitating the company disciplinary and/or grievance procedure in conjunction with the Human Resources department;
* Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, CBES HSE management systems, procedures or instructions as they apply and to ensure that all direct reports are adequately trained and follow safe systems of work;
* Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* NVQ Level 3 Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent);
* Strong technical understanding with proven track record in commercial building maintenance;
* Previous experience working across multiple sites;
* Experience of service delivery in high profile retail environments;
* Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
* Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload;
* Ability to problem solve on minor and small works projects with good knowledge of multi trade delivery;
* Excellent communication skills and able to develop and maintain working relationships with clients;
* Self-motivated, able to work individually or as part of a team;
* Proficient with MS Office, preferably with knowledge of CAFM software;
* Full/clean driving licence.
