Salary: £35,500 to 44,000 + (£2,000 London Weighting)
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week.
You will be required to cover variable days and weekends to meet business needs.
We encourage travel to other local sites to support your training and development. Travel may also be required to support activity in the region.

About the Role
Theatre Practitioners in CHEC focus on patient-centric care and participate in the entire pathways for all patients from pre-admission, surgery, and post-operative management within our Ophthalmology service.
Applicants must have a valid NMC or HCPC pin to apply.
Our highly skilled surgeons operate on 20-30 patients per list and our Theatre Practitioners are essential to the efficient running of the hospital and providing high-quality patient care.
You will be an experienced Theatre Practitioner undertaking preoperative assessment, diagnostics testing, and theatre scrub under AfPP good practice guidance.
Ideally, you will have proven experience as a scrubbing in ophthalmic theatres; however, our clinical education team can provide training and mentorship for your transition into working within our ophthalmic/cataract surgical centres.

To be successful in this role you will need:
* Previous theatre experience is required (ophthalmic scrub experience is preferred but not essential).
* Valid NMC/HCPC Registration.
* Strong computer skills, including effective use of relevant software and systems.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A passion for delivering first-rate patient safety and care.
* Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
