Provide safe and efficient transport for the DRT service, providing outstanding customer care that is polite, friendly, helpful, and supportive to all passengers and members of the public. Will be working split shifts; Shift One: 7am to 11am & 3pm to 7pm (8 hours) Shift Two: 7am to 11am & 3pm to 7pm (8 hours) Shift Three: 7am to 11am OR 3pm to 7pm (4 hours) Total 20 hours per week. Ensure that all appropriate vehicle checks are completed before any route commences to ensure vehicles are ready, properly prepared, and clean for their route. Have a good understanding of all IT packages, particularly around the use of phone software applications. Ensure route data is completed and accurate and liaise with the DRT co-ordination team as required. To maintain accurate and up to date information for all transport services. Ensure compliance with the technology provided and regulate its use for council required services only. Assisting in resolving service problems and difficulties that may arise. Assisting in dealing with operational issues and make appropriate arrangements. Have a strong ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people. Have the skills and knowledge to support individuals within our communities who may have additional needs and/or disabilities. Adhere to all the Councils policies and procedures in relation to Passenger Transport services. Maintain vehicles allocated, including fuelling and cleaning (exterior and interior of vehicle) as directed by the team. Assist in a public roadshows or events assisting in publicising the service to customers and answering any of their questions. Assist in the roll out of Bus Timetable Information at associated bus stops around the county. Replacing timetables and Perspex at these locations and reporting back to dispatch regarding their conditions. Any other driving duty as required for the purposes of assisting the Passenger Transport Group. Candidate must have experience of driving minibuses and hold a PSV license.
