Waltham Cross, Herts Circa £40,000 per annum Shoal Seafood are one of the fastest growing Fish and Seafood wholesalers in the UK and we supply our high quality and sustainably sourced products to the UKs top 5-star restaurants & hotels.Due to our continued growth, we have an immediate requirement for an experienced Fish Filleter to join our team in Waltham Cross. We offer a bespoke solution that is specific to our clients’ needs and our fish and seafood are processed and packed at source, increasing the efficiency of our supply chain and enabling us to guarantee full traceability. Shift: 5 over 7 shift pattern. 40 hours per week. Hours: 0600 – 1500 (some flexibility required) Working in a chilled environment you will be preparing and cutting fish for packing to company and customer specifications, whilst ensuring quality, consistency and traceability standards are always followed. Accountabilities: Prepare fish to customer specification, including boning, filleting, cutting and trimming. Following the company’s food safety culture through production and cleaning. Maintain and clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines. Ensure that wastage is minimal, and you work in a cost-efficient manner. To follow internal procedures in relation to fish & food preparation and temperature controls. Responsible for maintaining all legalities, Health & Safety and HACCP control within the department in accordance with Company policy and strict legal guidelines. Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the factory environment. Producing excellent quality packed products safely and efficiently to meet our customer and technical standard To assist in the quality control of products within the company To be successful in your application for the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a fish filleting role. Confident knife skills and knowledge of different cuts of fish. Excellent people skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team. Strong organisational, planning and time management abilities. Strong attention to detail.
