Senior Public Health Development Manager - Ref: SS00225 G12: £51,802 - £57,645 Contract: Permanent, full-time We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual for the role of Senior Public Health Development Manager to join our Public Health Team. The role will cover a portfolio of programmes, largely focusing on mental wellbeing (including suicide prevention), healthy ageing and support for our Public Health apprentices. As a Senior Public Health Development Manager, you will need a solid grasp of the principles, theory and practice of public health, as well as health and other systems including; government policy; practical knowledge/experience of strategic commissioning and creating new services from external providers; skills related to all aspects of the process (i.e. needs analysis, performance review etc); experience of finding key stakeholders and building effective relationships, of working in the public sector and leading projects that result in change; a good understanding of Clinical Governance or other quality assurance mechanisms; experience of influencing policy and practice; and managing change and persuading other professionals and organisations to improve health and services for the public. You will have a post-graduate qualification expertise and/or extensive experience working as a public health practitioner as well as programme management skills, including budgeting, needs assessment, monitoring, and evaluation experience.
