Our Head of People and Culture will lead the team to deliver on this action plan with some ambitious targets including: Enhancing our recruitment, onboarding and new starter engagement Developing a robust workforce planning strategy Supporting the development of a program of learning for systems used across the organisation Leading a team of professionals Training, developing and supporting our colleagues and business Identifying and planning for the skills requirements of our future workforce Driving a feedback and High Performance Culture across the organisation, where regular, constructive and helpful feedback is the norm and high performance is strived for and celebrated Implementing a learning impact evaluation framework As if that wasn’t exciting enough, you will take the lead for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion across SLHD, ensuring that our EDI strategy is delivered and that our organisation is a place where colleagues can feel confident and comfortable being their self at work. Our EDI strategy doesn’t just focus on colleagues, it’s organisation wide so customers are included too. You will work with our EDI Manager and our colleagues across the business to ensure we have robust data to understand the diversity of our organisation and ensure that action is being identified and taken to achieve our aspiration of inclusivity. The People and Culture service consists of teams in HR, People Operations, L&OD, and EDI functions. What We’re Looking For: As a Head of Service and working as part of our Leadership Team you will flex between strategic thinking and future looking to the operational day to day. Every day is different so you will need to feel comfortable going from a complex employee relations case one day, to being more creative and working with our L&OD team or EDI teams in designing and delivering engaging initiatives. You will have the confidence to get your point of view heard and influence leadership to drive our culture. Delivery is key, we have a lot to do, you will need to flex your organisational skills to spin all of those plates expertly and ensure that our performance is high and we can confidently demonstrate our success. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels of the organisation as well as across a range of external partners and agencies.
