Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for staff nurse posts on our new female acute ward at Mill View Hospital! The ward will be a 13 bedded female acute mental health ward, primarily working with individuals aged 18-65.
In Your Role We Would Want You To:
* Deliver a high standard of evidence-based inpatient nursing care in partnership with the team, the service users, and their families.
* Act as a primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organizing of care.
* Co-ordinate shifts and provide supervision for support workers and students.
* Work within a team of nurses and other professionals committed to delivering quality service.
* Adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty to meet the needs of the service.
* Take charge of a designated clinical area and deputize as appropriate.
* Represent the clinical team perspective at multidisciplinary meetings and clinical reviews of patient care.
* Participate in the multi-disciplinary team, formulating care plans and utilizing appropriate assessments.
Qualifications & Knowledge/Experience
* Qualified as a Mental Health Nurse
* Knowledge of MHA/MCA
* Knowledge of Safeguarding
* Prioritizing and Organizing Workload
* Assessing and Managing Clinical Risk
* Communication and Relationship Skills
* Leadership Skills
* Physical Health experience
