An exciting vacancy has arisen for a Band 4 Cross cover MDM coordinator for East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust. This role will be working with several MDM teams and providing cross cover across several tumour sites.
You will need to possess sound interpersonal skills including excellent communication, clerical, customer service, and organisational skills. The post requires you to be able to organise and co-ordinate a wide range of tasks within tight timescales in an effective professional manner. You should be able to work under pressure, show initiative, and play an important role in the effective organisation of MDMs and cancer compliance.
Main Duties of the Job
Ideally, you will have experience of working unsupervised and possess sound interpersonal skills including excellent communication, clerical, customer service, and organisational skills. You will have an aptitude for data and information, preferably with an NHS background and experience of using PAS and other hospital systems/applications, but training will be provided. You will be responsible for tracking cancer pathways, coordinating the MDM team meetings, and ensuring that person-centred care is delivered in a timely and professional manner while working to deadlines in line with local and national requirements.
Qualifications and Training
* 5 GCSEs Grade A-C - Including English and Maths or equivalent
* Must be able to demonstrate a good educational background
* NVQ Level 3 Administration
* A Levels or similar qualifications
Skills and Experience
* Experience in an administrative role preferably within the NHS or medical environment
* Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Excellent communication skills
* Minute taking
* Excellent Data Entry skills, paying attention to accuracy and detail
* Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills
* Initiation of processes for data collection
* Previous role as an MDT Co-Ordinator
* Ability to organise own workload within set timescales
* Data Collection, preferably clinical data

* Ability to communicate effectively within an organisation as well as with external organisations
* Excellent verbal communication
* Good organisational skills
* Able to negotiate in a professional manner with colleagues internally and externally when trying to bring forward patient investigations, OPA's, etc.
